So.  After much debate and talking with others.  We are going to slowly implement some changes to Stricken v1.  Right now, we are split down the middle in the clan with types of people.

  1. Those that watch YouTube, love war, and love to win.  Meaning, they are constantly striving to get better, to learn, to adapt to new strategies. Also can develop strategies on their own
  2. Those that like to war.  Like to win.  But don't want things to get to complicated.  They log in every now and then.  Love the company.

There is nothing wrong with either of these types of players.  I enjoy talking, joking, and playing with each and every member that is currently part of our family.  People are different, and that is perfectly fine. So I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way at all.

We are going to make Stricken v1 the polished war clan.  Meaning success.  And not settling for 2 stars.  Meaning we watch youtube, we learn new strats, and strive to 3 star every base we fight.  Again, this is not to make anyone feel bad.  The people involved in Stricken v1 will make up the minority of clash of clans players.  We will be the 10% who view the game the way we do.

Im saying all this so I hope everyone understands.  A few of our members, including myself, want this type of game play.  We are competitive people, and war is why we play.  Not saying we dont enjoy chatting, or other things, but this is what drives us.  This is not to take away ANYTHING from those that like to relax.  Please please please dont that it that way.

Stricken v2.0 will become our "normal" clan.  This is where people can enjoy the game the way they want.  This is going to remain the same.  Wars every friday, hit squad during the week for those interested .  And plenty of wins and loot and farming to go around.

Stricken v3 will remain the same as well. Raj is doing an excellent job prepping people for war and having casual members enjoy their stay

Also we will be changing all clans requirements to join.

  • Stricken will move to TH8, Player level 80.  With level 3 Dragon or level 4 Hogs.  And the ability to provide 3 stars vs other th8s on a consistent basis.
  • Stricken v2.0 will move to TH7 Player level 55 with lvl1 Dragons.
  • Stricken v3 will remain for those under player lvl 55 and th7.

With all this being said, I need more leadership to come forth in v2.0.  I understand that Draco (sir jody) is the leader.  However he needs STRONG co-leaders to keep this ship right.  If you guys dont know this, we are a well loved place to be.  People that have left, constantly tell me they regret leaving, or regret being kicked out, because we are a rare thing in Clash.  We are a family of members, who have not fallen into drama, or problems like most clans do.

What do I need to do, to be in Stricken v1 now?
First of all, understand being a part of v1 does not make you better than any other member of any of our clans.  It means your a different type of person and play the game in a different way than most people.  On that note, being a member of v2.0 is not a demotion, or insult.  Its going to be a different type of clan.  With a different play style.  v2.0 is not beneath v1.  Jump simply different

To be apart of Stricken v1 you will need to show proficiency at raiding and defense.  You will need to use more than 1 strategy to get your stars as all bases are not created equally.  To clear up the confusion, what I mean by diversity, is that bases are different.  You may take a gowiwi, however, the base has open defenses not covered by air ds on the back side.  So you take 8 balloons to kill them while ur gowiwi is marching through the base. To get the 3 stars you might need to use LaLoon, or Hogs, or Dragons depending on th level.  You need to be able to keep up with current strategies, formulate plans, and execute them. By all means ask for help, or ask for guidance.  Willingness to learn is what we want.   And use of these forums is also a must.

v2.0 will consist of those who simply.. dont have time to watch youtube videos.  Who just play the game to have fun, and enjoy the company of the amazing people in this family.  Again, this is not a bad thing! i wish i could relax and just enjoy without the need to be superior at games. Seriously.. i do its annoying.

So that it. Again this will be slow.  But know this.  If you are asked or advised that you aren't quite ready to be in v1, please do not take this the wrong way, however, unlike the past, It will be a leave on good terms, or be removed situation.  If you want to be in v1 and are asked to join v2, talk to me, ask me what you need to do to get back, and go practice.

I hope this all came across the right way.  Im not trying to upset anyone.  But for me personally, And for those that feel the same way I do, this is a way to keep us in the game, and excited, and ready to go

This looks as a logical step to me, Anajak. I think it should help to solve some of the existing problems at v1. On the other hand, there might be similar problems at v2, except at the lower level between those who want to win (but still not at the level of v1) and those who are just trying to enjoy themselves.

As far as v3 is concerned, we are not a war clan and never will be. Perhaps this intention came from the fact that run three wars in a row to take advantage from the double clan xp offer. At v3 the priority is still teaching and learning. We will run two wars a week max and teach even during those wars. We love our winning streak, but we would happily sacrifice it, if it were to interfere with the principles of our educational efforts.

We do not force anyone to take part in wars at v3. In fact, going to war is a privilege that has to be earned. We are perfectly OK with members who just want to farm and improve, as long as we see activity and effort from their part.

We are at much lower level than the other two clans, but still take CoC seriously. Anyone, who does not show up, does not donate and just wants to park their main or mini there will be asked to leave as we want to have a good, active community at v3.

Even if this has little to do with me (as of now), I think you explained everything clearly. The intention of making v1 a hardcore clan is perfectly legitimated. Even in v3 we see different approaches and that's normal, but in order to be included among the best, one must put A LOT of dedication into it.

My suggestion: v2 should become, other than a more relaxed approach clan, an introductory step to v1. I mean, if you want to learn GoLaLoon i don't think v3 is the right place to do it. On the other hand, placing some good teacher from v1 (with an alt maybe, like Cyntric for example) would allow candidates for v1 to be trained and reach the requirements.

As of v3, Raj already said everything about it. He is our respected and beloved guide down here.

I hope my thoughts are clear enough, and do not sound inappropriate.

Hi Jak,

Firstly, thank you for allowing some of us the opportunity to temporarily join V1, V2, or V3 to meet our clan mates from other levels. This allowed me the opportunity to see first hand the different attiitudes of the players as you have accurately described.

From a v3 perspective, we certainly are a learning clan. A lot of time and effort is invested into us by our generous Master Raj, fellow clan mates and visiting teachers from v1 and v2. Being involved in regular wars not only allows us to practice our skills, but enables us to experience what it really means to be part of a tight-knit, well organised clan.

Each of us have different motivating factors for playing COC, so it is great that the Stricken Family are aware of this and is trying to fulfil everyone' s needs. Raj has summerised v3 well in that we are primarily a place to learn, share and experience the game in an environment where we can make mistakes. I hope that we continue to meet many visitors from the higher levels occasionally... It would be great for them to show us the various troops that we can aspire to have and also how to use them in battle.

Thanks for taking the time to make the awesome Stricken Family even better!

Thanks guys, sorry for misunderstanding what Raj had going on with v3. Either way its going great and I wouldn't change a thing. The fact that you guys felt the need to explain makes me feel bad lol.

On another note, i forgot to add that being a part of v1 now will require use of the forums. Whereas v2 will not.

Does this mean that the no alts in v1 is to be relaxed if its now going to be based more on type of player and desire to use multiple youtube strats and attack plans for 3 stars. Obviously the alt would need to meet the requirements for v1. Also if you feel like a break from hardout wars in v1 would moving to v2 be expected. Just a few thoughts I thought i would put out there which I had after a quick skim over whats proposed to change.

Jak,
I love being in this clan, the family and in wars. But I'm just a little confused on this process. So if I don't three star a base once am I moved to v2? I like to be active and In wars and stay with the top guys. I don't know how u feel about me staying but I felt like our guys here in this clan were all doing super well and we were winning a lot. Tbh I don't think it is possible to keep a 100% 3 star streak on th8s. Just tell me what u think about where I should go. I hopefully want to stay with stud, vegas, dingle, Danny, cb, DB and/or u

Haha, no. ok i'll try to explain. Consistantly does not mean 100% of the time, not even 4 outta 5 times. Like.. once a war or so. Will there be wars when a good th8 player gets two 2 stars? yeah.. i do all the time on cyntric and i consider myself good.

This is mostly for those, who dont ask advice on attacks. Who dont practice. And who play this game on a casual basis. And guess what? THAT IS PERFECTLY FINE!!!! Some folks wanna throw 6 minions, 8 archers, 4 giants, a pekka, and 2 dragons at a base. Ok cool. But this isn't the place for ya.

I tell ya what. Here's what i'll do. Everyone relax. Again if your asked to go to v2.0 its not like its a bad thing.. lol I dunno why folks are taking it that way. I will ask some to go to v2.0, again, this is ok. its a good clan about to be populated with more good members. If your on the edge i will personally write you a personal message, not public. And talk it out with you.

Seriously, so many people are worried.. when there is no reason to be worried.. regardless of what happens you will be with good people, in a good clan.. It blows my mind how people take it personal. Its about two different play styles. Thats.. it.. there is no personal attacks, there is no "you suck!" getting thrown around... its simply 2 groups of people who play the game very differently...

Thx for your reassurance, Jak. We will keep pushing forward at v3 and all the ACTIVE alts (minis) from v1 and v2 are very welcome there...

Ok i have edited the original post to fix some confusion. So many folks were on about the diversity in raiding strategies part. What i mean was, if your a hog user, sometimes u take loons to kill defenses not covered by air ds. Sometimes all defesnes are covered so you can't use balloons. This is what i meant, being able to adapt to the base, and not get stuck in using the exact same composition every raid.
